Dr. Jonathan Pellish, NASA electronic parts manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, discussed internship and career opportunities at NASA Goddard, with a special focus on relevant timelines and processes, on October 29. He met with specific classes during the day, discussing technologies NASA is developing for next-generation systems. His visit to Shepherd was arranged by Dr. Jason Best, professor of astronomy and astrophysics and director of strategic research initiatives. Pellish grew up in Martinsburg and graduated from St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland. He has a B.S. in physics and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University. He has worked in several positions at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center since 2008. In April, Pellish presented on campus as part of the President’s Lecture Series.
