Mark King
Mark King has performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe including organ recitals at The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.; the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists in Atlanta; Saint Thomas Church (Fifth Avenue) in New York City; Saint Paul’s Cathedral, London; The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Paris; The Baltimore Bach Marathon; Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris; The Jean Langlais Centennial Conference (sponsored by Duquesne University); The Olivier Messiaen Conference (sponsored by Duquesne University); Saint Paul’s Cathedral, Pittsburgh; and The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, New York City.
Mr. King received his Bachelor of Science degree in Organ and Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he studied organ with Dr. Carol Teti. He received his Master of Music degree in Performance and Sacred Music from Duquesne University, where he studied organ performance and improvisation with Dr. Ann Labounsky. He also studied at the Royal School of Church Music in England.
In addition to being the adjunct professor of organ at Shepherd University School of Music, Mark King maintains a private studio of organ and piano students.
