Permission to Enroll for More Than 19 Hours
A student who wishes to register for more than 19 hours (or more than 14 hours in the summer) must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate that current and previous courses have been successfully completed. If these criteria are met, then the student may apply for permission. Permission will not be given for more than 23 hours (for a fall or spring semester). The application form (goldenrod) is on the wall rack in the Registrar’s reception area. After the student provides some basic information on this form, the Registrar’s Office records the official GPA and earned credit hours. Then the student must get approval of the advisor, department chair, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Requests for exceptions to this policy are brought by petition to the Admissions and Credits Committee.
