The economic impact of the Contemporary American Theater Festival was announced during a presentation November 8 in Erma Ora Byrd Hall. The study, conducted by the arts marketing research firm Shugoll Research, found that CATF is responsible for $5.86 million in direct economic activity. Direct spending by CATF totaled $1.25 million, and the amount spent per person was an average of $238.17, excluding the price of admission.
