Piano Ensemble at Shepherd University is an innovative course. Students have the opportunity to explore repertoire in one piano (4 hands and 6 hands), two pianos (4 hands and 8 hands) and small piano orchestra settings. Piano students are assigned to various groups for performances both on and off campus. The Piano Ensemble is not limited to music majors and is open to all college students with previous piano experience.
Additionally, students review various levels of pedagogical piano ensemble literature for future use in their own studios.
