SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Department of Music student members of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) are presenting a benefit recital on Friday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in the Frank Center’s W. H. Shipley Recital Hall. The concert is open to the public and admission is by donation.
All proceeds will go to Hungry for Music, a music charity based in Washington, D.C., that supports music education and cultural enrichment by acquiring and distributing musical instruments to underprivileged children who have a desire to learn how to play.
The concert will feature Shepherd University faculty, including Dr. Mark Andrew Cook, associate professor of music, and Dr. Kurtis Adams, assistant professor of music, and adjunct faculty members Brooke Evers-Moore, Natalie Conte, Susan Petzold-Carpenter, and Gary Mullenax.
