SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, is sponsoring a panel discussion on media and politics, titled “Reporting, Framing, and Tweeting: the Media’s Evolving Relationship with Politics,” on Monday, April 18, from 6-8 p.m. at the Erma Ora Byrd auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Brian Lamb, CEO of C-SPAN, will be a panelist. Lamb has led the public affairs channel since its launch 32 years ago. Other panelists include Dr. Matthew Kushin, assistant professor of mass communications at Shepherd, Julian Mulvey, a member of the Democratic media consulting firm Devine Mulvey Longabaugh, and Dr. Alison Dagnes, a political science professor from Shippensburg University.
