We believe music is essential to a vibrant, meaningful life and community. Our faculty and staff have dedicated our lives to creating a transformative educational experience that takes young people, passionate about music, and leads them to make their livelihood as artists and artist-educators.
Enrollment in the Department of Music has remained at around 100 music majors for the past three years. The Department of Music is leveraging carefully all our scholarship resources, which are insufficient to expand the program. At least 1/3 of our music majors receive some form of scholarship from the Department of Music, but we could do better. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in scholarships this year to have a positive impact on our incoming class next year.
