Join the History Program!
The history program welcomes all students and promotes the study and interpretation of the past by integrating scholarship, undergraduate education, and professional engagement. The program invites students to discover the past in order to engage the present in an increasingly globalized world. Rather than focusing on a narrow skill set, history majors learn to think critically, communicate broadly, engage with the public, and problem-solve across professions. History students will aquaria and hone skills including primary source research, writing and digital skills, and public engagement. Students can choose from three concentrations, General History, Civil War and 19th Century American, or Historic Preservation/Public History.
- General Concentration
- Civil War and Nineteenth-Century America Concentration
- Historic Preservation and Public History Concentration
