Our Commitment

Our updated Civility Code restates our commitment to “treating everyone with fairness, kindness, and civility by upholding meaningful values that are linked to academic inquiry and knowledge.”  We value the contribution of all members of our community.

At Shepherd, we seek to distinguish ourselves through innovative education and memorable student experiences.  We are committed to enhancing the academic brand of the university through supporting, recognizing, and celebrating the scholarship and creative endeavors of students, faculty and staff both inside and outside the classroom. We have a strong commitment to civic engagement and experiential learning through internships and co-ops.  These important opportunities provide practical experience as students transition from courses into careers.
