Tobacco Free Grant Initiative

Welcome to the Tobacco Free Grant Initiative homepage.

The grant-sponsored university coalition, Take STOC: Smoking and Tobacco Off Campus, was funded by the American Cancer Society and CVS Tobacco-Free Generation Campus Initiative grant and sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs through the Student Health Center.

This initiative aims to assess campus community attitudes, tobacco and vaping use, assist in cessation of nicotine products,  and educate community members on the risks of tobacco and nicotine use. Throughout this initiative, members will coordinate educational events, host focus groups to discuss assessment outcomes, and recommend policies, The goal is to change our campus policy from restricted smoking areas to a tobacco-free policy including smokeless tobacco, smoking, and e-cigarettes.  The coalition consists of colleagues from throughout the University with coordinating leadership from the Student Health Center and the Division of Student Affairs.
