During the Spring of 2018, Shepherd University distributed a student survey, to assess the campus climate and the student experience around sexual misconduct and violence on campus. Shepherd University was also able to compare response data with other schools in West Virginia, which can be found below.
The purpose of the survey was to generate campus-specific data on: (1) The nature and prevalence of sexual misconduct and violence on campus, including incidents of sexual assault, coercion, harassment, and intimate partner violence, as well as (2) Attitudes, perceptions, and experiences related to sexual misconduct, including University response and prevention/education efforts to address sexual violence and harassment.
