SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Dr. Kelly L. Hart has been named vice president for enrollment management at Shepherd University, effective November 13, 2020. Hart will serve on Shepherd’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and report to the president.
As vice president for enrollment management, Hart will oversee the admissions, financial aid, and registrar’s offices. She will work with Shepherd’s ELT to establish and then meet university targets for undergraduate, graduate, and working-adult enrollments, as well as increase the number of residential and out-of-state students.

Hendrix. “Her vision and experience in the recruitment and retention of students and commitment to diversity will assist Shepherd in advancing our enrollment. This is a transformative time in Shepherd’s history, and Dr. Hart will be a key stakeholder in our success.”
Hart serves as the executive director of admission at Westfield State University in Massachusetts. She has been associated with Westfield State since 2010, first serving as director of admission, then moving to the executive director position. She currently serves on the President’s Administrative Council and previously served on the planning and budget committee and the Title IX and Affirmative Action Appeals Board.
Prior positions include a nine-year period of employment at Springfield College in Massachusetts, where she served as assistant director of athletics (2001-2006), associate director of athletics (2006-2010), and assistant professor of sports management and recreation (2001-2005).
Hart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education, English, from Villanova University, a Master of Education in physical education from the College of New Jersey, and a Doctor of Philosophy in physical education from Florida State University.
