Accuplacer & Language Placement

The Accuplacer Exam (English/Math)

The Accuplacer exam assesses skill levels in reading, writing and math to determine a student’s appropriate course placement. Students admitted to college without standardized test scores, or who have not yet taken college-level English or Math courses, should take the Accuplacer exam before registering for their first semester of classes. Students who have taken the ACT or SAT but believe that their test scores do not reflect their ability in math and/or English may also elect to take the exam.
