SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players will perform an anonymous short medieval comedy, “The Second Shepherds’ Play,” and three short plays written by Shepherd University creative writing students beginning March 31 in Reynolds Hall.

The student plays are “To Start a Flame” by Olyvia Thompson and “Playing God” by Olivia Stevens, both English education majors from Martinsburg, West Virginia; and “A Murder Most Foul” by William Prudnick, a chemistry major from Beckley, West Virginia.

Performances are planned for March 31 and April 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30 p.m. and April 2 and 9 at 3 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 general admission; free for Shepherd students, faculty, and staff with a valid Rambler ID; and $2 for other students.
