ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Falcons signed former Shepherd University offensive tackle Joey Fisher ’22 on January 8, a day after their season ended.
Fisher announced the news about his new contract on social media.
“To new beginnings, Forever grateful,” Fisher wrote in a Facebook post. “ATL here we come.”
Fisher joins the Falcons on a futures contract, making him part of Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and training camp.
This will be the fourth NFL team Fisher has signed with, having spent time on the practice squads for the San Fransico 49ers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Cleveland Browns.
During his career at Shepherd, Fisher earned a place on the Don Hansen All-American Team, D2Football.com Elite 100 First Team, D2CCA All-American First Team, and AP Division II All-American First Team during his senior year.
