Accommodate- Faculty
The Office of Accessibility Services now uses an online platform called Accommodate to manage student’s accommodations. By logging into the faculty portal, faculty can view student’s approved accommodations, view and submit information for test proctoring, and access other OAS resources. Please review the below faculty resources for Accommodate.
The Accommodate homepage is accessible using your Shepherd University login credentials. We recommend you favorite or bookmark the homepage link for easy access.
Accommodate For Faculty
Faculty are responsible for:
- Signing student accommodation letters when received
- Implementing student accommodations
- Completing the faculty portion of the test room booking form 3 days in advance of the testing date
Signing student accommodation letters
When a student in one of your courses has been approved for accommodations, you will receive an email that there is a new letter requesting your signature. You must sign the accommodations letter to acknowledge what accommodations are being provided and your responsibilities as faculty in the implementation process.
Signing Student Letters Instructions
Completing a test room booking request for a student
The proctoring process is student initiated, meaning that a student must submit their test room booking request first before you can submit any testing specifics. Once a student has submitted a test room booking request, you will receive a system message via email. Faculty test room booking forms will need to be completed 3 days in advance of the testing date.
