How to Apply
To apply for the Dual Enrollment Program, students must submit:
- The Dual Enrollment Online Application
- Approval or recommendation from a principal, guidance counselor, or homeschool coordinator
- An official copy of high school or homeschool transcript indicating a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Official ACT or SAT scores, if planning to enroll in ENGL 101, CIS 104, ECON 205, ENGR 101, and MATH 105 and higher. ACT and SAT allow you to pick four institutions or programs to have your scores sent for free. Use the Shepherd University codes when registering – ACT code 4532 and SAT code 5615.
- Students wishing to enroll in MATH 105 – College Algebra must have an SAT score of 530 (math section) 0r an ACT score of 21 (math section).
- Students wishing to enroll in ENGL 101 must have an SAT score of 480 (reading section) or an ACT score of 18 (math section).
Note: Students who have not taken the ACT or SAT can take the Accuplacer here at Shepherd. Complete your application, which creates your Shepherd Student ID number needed for the Accuplacer.
