Another exciting new initiative at Shepherd University is the creation of a School of Business to open in the 2017-2018 academic year. The new school will include majors in Business Administration, Economics and Finance, and Accounting, as well as the university’s MBA program.
Business 2020, a public-private partnership led by the Shepherd University Foundation is raising private gifts from alumni, community friends and regional businesses. The initial goal of $600,000 will provide funding over the next five years to support the creation of a School of Business. Dr. Ben Martz will lead the strategic planning to strengthen the program and attract new students. Every gift made toward this initiative will make a significant impact!
Thank you to the Business 2020 Committee and our alumni and friends who have made gifts to support this initiative. Thanks for making the School of Business a reality!
“This is an extraordinary example of the commitment of our business community partnering with Shepherd to revitalize an important program and provide significant new opportunities for students,” – Dr. Mary J.C.Hendrix, Shepherd University President.
