Graduate Assistantships are primarily for CSDA graduate students, but graduate students from other programs are allowed to apply if a position is not filled. Graduate Assistantship programs provide an opportunity for graduate students to work in an academic environment. Graduate Assistants receive a tuition waiver and hourly pay based on the number of hours worked. Graduate Assistants are employees of Shepherd University and are expected to maintain a professional demeanor. The following core competencies are essential to any Shepherd University employee: commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, effective written and oral communication skills, initiative, passion for learning, professionalism, time management, and organization skills.
