Shepherd installed signage this summer celebrating our West Virginia Professor of the Year winners and finalists for the prestigious statewide award. In August, past honorees Dr. Ed Snyder, professor of environmental and physical sciences; Dr. Scott Beard, professor of music, dean of graduate studies and continuing education, and associate provost; Dr. Betty Ellzey, professor of English and chair of the Department of English and Modern Languages; Dr. Laura Clayton, professor of nursing education; and Dr. Jerry Thomas, professor emeritus of history, joined the 2015 Professor of the Year Sonya Evanisko, professor of art and coordinator of the painting program, at the sign near the bridge to Maryland for a photo op. A second sign is located at the entrance to West Campus off Route 45/German Street.
