Fines

INTERLIBRARY LOANS

A fine of $1.00/day is charged for each overdue interlibrary loan item. Fines accrue per item with no maximum charge.

Once the item has been returned to the library, fines must be paid at the Business Office in Ikenberry Hall (304)-876-5284 during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4: 30 p.m.

Patrons must request a form at the Public Services desk to take to the Business Office indicating the amount due. The Business Office will sign and stamp the form confirming payment. The patron must return the signed form to the Public Services desk, so a desk attendant can update the patron’s library account to ‘paid’.

Acceptable forms of payment include Shepherd University ID (Rambler), cash, check, or credit/debit card.

If the interlibrary loan item is lost or damaged, contact the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator – Patrick Weber (pweber@shepherd.edu) (304)-876-5691 – for the replacement cost, which is determined by the lending library.
