Parking on Campus
Parking on Campus
Anyone parking on Shepherd University’s campus in a parking lot must register their vehicle to park. Universal parking regulations are enforced 24/7. Lot restrictions are enforced from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the academic week. Parking in the lots are free during the weekends, summer break, spring break, and holidays, as well as after 4:30 p.m. during the academic week.
Street parking is limited! Come early to find a spot. Most spots have meters – make sure to pay your meter to avoid getting a ticket. This is the only parking option without registering your car with the Campus Police Office.
Handicap parking is available on the street in front of the Byrd Center. There are four handicap spots available for cars with a handicap placard.
Parking passes are available for purchase from the Campus Police Office. As a participant of the Lifelong Learning courses, you are eligible for a student parking pass. Currently, a Lifelong Learning subscription covers the cost of a parking pass. The parking office will have a list of everyone who has purchased a subscription (it may take 1-2 business days for this list to be updated). If you have purchased a Lifelong Learning subscription for the semester, you will just need to bring your license and registration to the Campus Police Office and tell the office they are on the Lifelong Learning list, in order to get a parking pass.
If you do not have a subscription and would like to purchase a parking pass, you can pay for a pass at the Campus Police Office. Call the Campus Police Office for the current parking pass rate at 304-876-5374.
