Shepherd University offers our guests a variety of accommodation choices from May through Early August. You are sure to sleep well whether you choose the economy of our traditional-style buildings (Shaw and Thacher Halls), the 2017 constructed all-suites hall that features Tempurpedic mattresses and microwaves/fridges (Potomac Place), or the convenience of our apartments complete with full kitchens (Dunlop and Printz). All accommodations are air conditioned and include WiFi access and laundry facilities at no cost to our guests. Bed and bath linens may be provided for a nominal fee. Ample, close parking is available free of charge for summer conference groups.
Shaw and Thacher Halls provide an economical and convenient lodging option. These traditional style buildings each accommodate 140 guests sharing double rooms. Each three-story building has three wings with their own shared bath (private shower and bathroom stalls). Study lounges are available on the second and third floors, and a larger gathering space – complete with a pool table and vending machines – is located in the first floor lobby. Free laundry facilities are located on the second floor. These residences are located on the west side of campus and are directly across from the sand volleyball courts. A limited number of ADA rooms with access to a first floor laundry facility are also available.
Potomac Place provides an extremely comfortable lodging option. Two elevators allow access to the rooms in this five-story building. All rooms are equipped with Tempurpedic mattresses, a microwave, and refrigerator. This residence accommodates 296 guests in a mixture of double and single rooms within suites – and no more than two people share a bathroom. On each floor, guests have access to two light-filled study lounges as well as a larger common gathering/TV space. Vending machines are located in the spacious lobby that also contains a full kitchen. Free laundry facilities are available on the first floor. Potomac Place is located on the west side of campus and is conveniently situated near the grassy intramural fields and the Shepherd University Wellness Center. A limited number of ADA rooms are also available.
Printz and Dunlop Apartments provide a limited number of two or three bedroom lodging options. Each building has three floors with approximately twelve interior-access apartments on each floor. An apartment consists of a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two or three bedrooms. Three bedroom units have two bathrooms. Vending machines and free laundry facilities are located in the lobby of each building. The Apartments are located on West Campus. A limited number of ADA apartments are also available.
