Welcome to the Shepherd University Model United Nations Home Page!
The Model United Nations Program at Shepherd University consists of a Organization (MUNO) and a Class. All Shepherd University Students can enroll in the class and become part of the Model United Nations Organization. Students part of MUNO can participate in Model United Nations Conferences which are tournaments where students compete in simulating negotiations at the United Nations. Participants are assigned a country and a Committee at United Nations and will represent the assigned country in the negotiations in the Committee.
Shepherd students have participated in three tournaments since 2015 and already won Honorable Delegation and Best Position Papers awards. In November 2016 the Shepherd Model United Nations team will participate in the National Model United Nations Conference in Washington, D.C.
Every Spring the Model United Nations Program will organize RAMS MUN, a High School Model United Nations Conference at Shepherd University, for High School students from the area surrounding Shepherd University. The first RAMS MUN Conference will take place April 14 and 15, 2017.
