Heather Wilson
Originally from Princeton, West Virginia, Heather Mae Wilson studied music education with an emphasis in voice, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, and her Master of Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. She has performed professionally as a singer, actor, and dancer, and has over sixteen years of experience in public and private school education, launching music and theater arts programs for Pre-K4 to 12th grades. She has taught music at Covenant Christian Day School in Greensboro, NC, and Calvary Baptist Day School in Winston Salem, NC, the Chesterbrook Academy in Sterling, VA, and Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy in Kearneysville, WV. She believes allowing students to create their original work allows them to believe in their capabilities as young artists.
Ms. Wilson has extensive experience as music director of various musical theater productions at the Old Opera House in Charles Town, WV, and the Black Box Youth Playhouse in Shepherdstown, WV. She continues to perform locally to improve her craft and enhance her teaching skills.
