Camerata Soprano/Alto Choir
Camerata Soprano/Alto Choir is an ensemble of around 25 soprano and alto singers at Shepherd University, under the direction of Dr. Jason Strunk
Members consist of voice majors, music majors, and students from other disciplines at Shepherd University.
We are always looking for new members! Auditions take place at the beginning of every semester, during the first week of classes. Email Dr. Strunk if you are interested in auditioning.
Camerata Soprano/Alto Choir performs varied repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary music, world, folk, and jazz. Recent works include Mendelssohn’s Laudate pueri dominum, Eleanor Daley’s Three Songs from the Parlour, and Duruflé’s Tota pulchra es.
The ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 – 12:15 pm.
