On Friday, January 6, new students enrolling at Shepherd and their families were welcomed during the spring convocation that took place in the Storer Ballroom. Speakers were Student Government Association President Caitlin O’Connor; Dr. Anne Murtagh, associate professor of psychology and this year’s outstanding teacher; and Dr. Chris Ames, provost. All three speakers encouraged the students to get involved in activities and organizations at Shepherd. Murtagh also encouraged them to practice tolerance of others.
