SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University welcomed 55 new McMurran Scholars this year during the 62nd convocation on April 21. McMurran Scholar Award is the highest academic honor granted by Shepherd.
Since 2008, the convocation has included the Last Lecture by a retired or retiring professor sharing the wit and wisdom of the best in the higher education teaching profession. Dr. Desmond Lawless, retired, adjunct professor in the School of Recreation, Sport, and Exercise Sciences, shared his thoughts.
