SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University is hosting the first annual Bark for Life fundraiser on Sunday, October 27, from noon-5 p.m. on the Midway next to Ram Stadium. Furry, four-legged friends will walk alongside their humans to win the fight against cancer. There is a $10 per dog registration fee for community canines, $5 for Shepherd canines, and service dogs are free. All dogs must have a registration form completed and up-to-date shot records.
Events at Bark for Life will include costume and dog and owner look alike contests, hot dog bobbing, best trick, paw and dog bowl painting, and luminaria decorating. All events are free or will have a suggested donation. Vendors from local animal shelters will be set up and vendor spots are still available.
