SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University Director of Study Abroad, Dr. Samuel Greene, was recently awarded a $7,000 grant from the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission’s (WVHEPC) Strategic Internationalization Grants Program.
The funding Greene received aims to increase student participation at Shepherd University in study abroad programs and deepen international partnerships.
With programs like global studies, it is crucial that students are given opportunities to integrate international experience into their curriculum.
The grant will help support student scholarships for study abroad, deepening connections to international partners in Italy and Switzerland through a site visit, and maintaining robust partnerships via support for partner students to come to Shepherd during the 2025-2026 school year.
