SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Model United Nations team participated in the National Model United Nations Conference November 3-5 in Washington, D.C. Shepherd team members competed in a field of more than 900 students from 67 universities from every region of the world.
The Shepherd team represented Colombia in the General Assembly First Committee, Economic and Social Council, International Atomic Energy Agency, United Nations Environment Assembly, and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Imen Bouhestine, Miranda Jones, Rebecca Kamp, Jackson Muse, Madison Ronevich, Desiree Rose, Devin Spinks, and Kaitlin Zakrezewski were able to have resolutions passed with significant language formulated by the Colombian delegation.
