SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Rude Mechanicals and Medieval Renaissance Players will present Euripides’ ancient Greek tragedy “Hecuba” Friday, July 6, and Saturday, July 7, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 8, at 3 p.m. in Reynolds Hall. Admission is $5 for the public, $2 for other students, and free for Shepherd students, faculty, and staff with a valid Rambler ID.
As relevant today as it was when it was first performed 2,500 years ago, “Hecuba” examines the devastating physical, emotional, and moral toll that war inflicts on victor and victim alike.
The cast includes Shepherd students Dylan Kontra, Katelyn Lindsay, Deidre Morrison, and Haley Weatherholtz and community members Zack Bishop, Catherine Ellzey, and Corey Mullen.
