Alzheimer’s Walk

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the Alzheimer’s Association’s largest fundraising and awareness event. Each year thousands of walks are held across the country, including 12 here in West Virginia. The walk raises money to support the programs and services the Alzheimer’s Association provides for families and caregivers facing the disease, as well as to support the necessary research to find a cure. Every fall Shepherd University Nursing students take part in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Eastern Panhandle Walk in Martinsburg, WV.

Relay for Life

Each year, over 4 million people in over 20 countries participate in Relay for Life events. Shepherd University is proud to take part in Relay for Life to help honor cancer survivors, remember those lost, and help raise money to fight a disease that has taken so much.
