Convocation is a tradition at Shepherd University where all incoming students will attend a formal ceremony marking your official entrance into the University. Convocation signifies the beginning of a student’s educational journey and by which they become members of the Shepherd University community of scholars.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the weeks leading up to the first day of classes, you will be contacted by Annie Lewin, Director of Social Equity, Inclusion, and Title IX Coordinator to complete the required online, interactive, and self-paced training called, Culture of Respect. This training has two parts and discusses important aspects for students to identify how to become successful members of the Shepherd community. More information will be sent to your Shepherd email.
College isn’t easy, but it can be as transforming and life-changing as you allow it to be. Many exciting possibilities are awaiting you! We hope you will take advantage of all that is offered.
