Kids’ Guitar Group Class

Kids' Group Guitar

Guitar Group Class is the ideal way to learn the guitar in an stress-free setting. Students ages 7 to 11 will learn the guitar in a fun and enjoyable way with other beginners. In class, students will learn how to play the guitar, read music on the guitar, and play in an ensemble. Throughout the course, playing will be emphasized both in full group and smaller group settings. At the end of the course students will do a short concert for parents and guitar fans. This class is led by Peter Heiss, adjunct faculty for guitar in the Shepherd University School of Music.

Fall Dates: Thursdays, September 5-October 24, 2024, 5:00-6:00 pm. Students must provide a 1/2 size acoustic guitar. Please see the suggested link from Amazon for reference. https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-CGS102A-Half-Size-Classical-Guitar.   Guitars may also be purchased at nearby music companies such as Ellsworth, Guitar Center, or Music&Arts.

All classes will take place in the Frank Arts Center.
