SCCJ Club
About
The Sociology and Criminology Club at Shepherd University strives to improve sociological skills, engage in community service, and encourage faculty-student interaction through hosted lectures, events, and more. Our meetings, which generally occur twice a month, provide club members the opportunity to collaborate on ideas for future activities. Our goal is to bring the Shepherd University community together through organizing lectures with individuals prominent in the Sociology/Criminology fields, assisting with donating food for local people in need, and hosting fun events such as game nights and bake sales.
The club promotes a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages diversity, service, and scholarship. The members of our club are encouraged to utilize their personal expertise when coordinating and executing club functions. Through fundraising efforts, our club is able to participate in Sociology/Criminology related field trips. We strive to motivate the students at Shepherd University to pursue excellence in sociology and community service.
