Tabler Farm Fall Fun Day

Event overview

Tabler Farm invites you to our first ever Fall  Fun Day at Tabler Farm on Saturday, October 5th from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Come celebrate the arrival of fall with a variety of fun fall activities for the whole family to enjoy! This event is free and intended for all ages, though donations to support our program are encouraged! There will be a variety of ways visitors can make financial contributions to our program during the event. We accept cash and checks only. All funds will go directly to supporting next years growing season for our student run farm. Read on to see what activities we will be doing!

Welcome Booth

• Event and general farm information
• Raffle entry to win a Tabler Farm Goodie Basket!
  • Includes:
    • One rosemary or lavender plant (winners’ choice)
    • One bare-root burr oak sapling (selected for good acorn production!)
    • One ½ pint jar of honey
    • One bouquet of fresh flowers
    • One bag herbal tea (winners’ choice)

Pavilion

• Food and drink station
  • Live cider pressing with Twin Ridge Orchard apples
  • Popcorn machine with local corn
  • Complimentary herbal teas fresh from the farm
  • Bake sale from local grocer Community Garden Market
  • Tabler Farm produce for sale
  • S’mores packs to roast over our campfire ($1 each)
• Shep-opoly board game sessions
  • Play a round of a Shepherd themed Monopoly game!
  • Games will be available for purchase.

Farm Tours

• Hayrides around the farm
• Walking tours of our program sites: Aquaponics, Native Food Forest, Student Farm, Incubator Farm

Arts and Crafts

• Face painting!
• Nature wreath making
• Pumpkin painting

Activities

• Tomato toss
• Nature scavenger hunt
• U-Pick flower garden
• Yoga in the garden
• Wild foods walk

Campfire

• Community music jam
  • Bring an instrument and hang out around the fire with fellow musicians! No experience level required.
• S’mores roasting!

482 Billmyer Mill Rd. Shepherdstown, WV 25443

Turn onto the gravel drive off of Billmyer Mill Rd. A blue Shepherd University sign will greet you at the gravel entrance. Follow the driveway straight back until you see red parking signs directing you to turn left into the grassy field. A parking guide will direct you. Please sign in at the welcome table upon arrival.
