Who is my advisor?
Log in to your RAIL account, then click on the “Students” tab. Then click “Student Records” and “View Student Information.” Select the current term in the drop box and submit. Your advisor will be listed as “Primary Advisor.”
Where are the exploratory advisors located and how can I contact them?
They can be found at the Advising Assistance Center and Academic Support Center on the bottom floor of Scarborough Library. Click on the Exploratory Students Staff link to the left side of this page for exploratory advisor contact information.
When do I need to declare a major?
You will need to declare a major when 30 credits are earned, which is typically met at the end of the first year. Your advisors and other staff members in the Advising Assistance Center can help you complete the appropriate paperwork.
I have no idea what to major in! What should I do?
Take the Major Exploration FYEX course! These courses are taught by full-time advisors who can provide resources to help you make this decision! In addition, the Advising Assistance Center and Career Services are available by appointment or walk-in, Monday – Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM.
